Tab 7

My Wishes

Different from Tab 4, which was medical decisions. This tab is about what makes the end of your life feel like your life. Music, presence, foods, funeral preferences, what happens to your digital accounts, and any cultural or religious traditions that matter to you.

Everything here is optional. If none of it feels important, skip the whole tab. If it does, filling it in is one of the most loving things you can leave. Nobody who loves you wants to guess about your funeral music, or whether your Facebook should be memorialized or deleted. Writing it down means they do not have to guess.

Important

Any prepaid funeral arrangements, cemetery deeds, or account passwords go on your Vault Map in Tab 1, never here. This tab captures your preferences, not sensitive access details.

The sensory and personal comfort of your final days. Not the medical decisions from Tab 4, just what would make you feel like yourself, at peace, present.

Where and who

Where would you want to be, if you have a choice?

Name specific people, or a role like “close family only”, or leave it open: “whoever wants to be there”.

Uncomfortable to write, and important anyway. Your proxy needs to know so they can handle it kindly.

What would make it feel like your life

Specific songs, an artist, a genre, or silence. Note where a playlist lives if you have one.

Light or dim, flowers or not, a window open, a specific blanket, scents.

A prayer, a reading, a ritual, clergy to call, or nothing at all.

A pet in the room, a favorite pillow, a photograph nearby.

A single sentence in any field here is more than most people leave.

Your work saves as you type.
