Tab 1
Read This First
This is the letter that sits at the very front of your folder. It is the first thing someone sees when they open it. You are writing to whoever finds this. Sometimes that is your spouse, sometimes your daughter, sometimes a paramedic or a neighbor. You do not know exactly who.
The letter has one job: to help someone in a stressful moment feel like they can do this. That you thought this through. That the answers are here. Six sentences is plenty. Read it out loud when you are done. If it sounds like you, you are finished.
Two ways to start. Neither is better.
If you write your own, hit these four things in whatever words are yours: acknowledge the moment, say what the folder is, tell them to start with Tab 2, and point them to the Vault Map.
